LONDON – IMAGINE CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL, SOUTHBANK CENTRE
The imagine children’s festival is a half-term event run by children for children at the Southbank Centre in central London. Little bookworms will love meeting some of their favourite Authors, watching live performances and getting involved in cool workshops suitable for kids under 12 years old. NEWCASTLE – ALL ABOUT BEARS, SEVEN STORIES
If you go down to the Ouseburn Valley this Half Term you’ll be in for a big surprise! At the UK’s only centre dedicated to their love of children’s books, Seven Stories are putting on a grrrreat bear event this half term. Take your little bear cub along to read stories, create bear-watching binoculars and design their very own bear adventure story. With the weather unlikely to be bright enough for a little picnic, bring along a teddy and enjoy hot and cold food from the bookshop cafe for an indoor picnic. Click Here For More Info.
MANCHESTER – LEGO BATMAN MOVIE DAYS, LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTRE
Mini superheroes will love meeting the caped crusader himself at Manchester’s Legoland Discovery Centre. During half term, you can meet Lego Batman to celebrate the release of Warner Bro’s highly anticipated Lego Batman Movie. There will be opportunities to have your photo taken with the main man, go on a scavenger hunt, take part in Batman-inspired activities plus lots more fun at the Legoland Discovery Centre! EDINBURGH – MONKEY MISCHIEF, NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SCOTLAND
From little lemurs to giant gorillas this half term get up close and personal with the monkeys at the National Museum of Scotland. With interesting facts about our closest relations in the animal world. Children will enjoy monkeying around at the dance and movement sessions held over half time as well as getting crafty by making head and tail masks. PEMBROKESHIRE– BLACK BART’S PIRATE FUN DAY / LUKE JUGGLESTRUCK, FOLLY FARM
A day out at a farm is always fun! And Folly Farm is like no other as they offer four great attractions in one – zoo, barn, fairground and play! This half term you’ll be treated to one of their fun, family theatre shows; either Black Bart’s Pirate Folly or The Luke Jugglestruck show. There will also be fun prize trails and card hunts, meet and greets, goat milking and zoo talks at selected enclosures. Don’t worry if the sun isn’t shining, half of the fun at Folly Farm is indoors!
