Now, December is here and the Christmas holidays are soon to commence it is time to start planning festive days out with the family. Of course, there is nothing more exciting to do in the lead up to December 25th than meet the big man himself, Santa Claus. We know that he can be tricky to get hold of at this time of year, as he is busy reading all the lists of little boys and girls but a little elf told us that he is going to be coming to a town near you. We have put together five of the top places to meet and greet Father Christmas during the festive period in the UK.

London – Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park

Winter Wonderland, London, is a must see attraction over the Christmas period, in the heart of the capital. Kid’s will love meeting Santa, going ice skating and being adventurous on the rides, but don’t worry with Mulled Wine and Cider available in the markets Mummy and Daddy will love it too! County Durham – Christmas At Beamish, Beamish Museum 

Celebrate traditions of past and present at Beamish Museum, with an exciting winter fun fair, small festive market and a cool ice rink, there is fun for all the family. Manchester – Santa’s Snow Kingdom, Chill Factore


For an (ice) cool day out to visit Santa, head to Chill Factore in Manchester. Here you’ll be mesmerised by Father Christmas’ magnificent castle surrounded by real snow! Edinburgh – Santa Land, East Princes Street Gardens


Head to Santa Land for a fun-filled festive day out! With rides suitable for a wide range of ages, ice walls, a Father Christmas themed maze and more, this is guaranteed to put the family into the Christmas spirit. Newport – The Christmas Kingdom, The Celtic Manor Resort


Let your little one tell Santa exactly what they want this year in his cosy grotto at the beautiful Celtic Manor Resort.
